    Royal Veterinary College, London 

    Dr. Gary Oliver was born in Phoenix and grew up in Mesa, Arizona. During high school he found his passion for Veterinary medicine when he began as a volunteer at a Small Animal Veterinary Clinic near down town Gilbert. After attending both University of Arizona and Arizona State University for undergraduate studies, he earned his veterinary degree from the University of London, Royal Veterinary College. Dr. Oliver has been practicing Veterinary medicine in the East valley, primarily Gilbert and East Mesa since 2000. He prides himself on patient follow up, client communication and enjoys working with local rescue organizations.

    Dr. Oliver is married with 4 children. He and his wife spend most of their time caring for the many animals they have at their home which includes dogs, horses, goats, chickens, ducks, a donkey and a pot belly pig. Dr. Oliver also loves traveling when he can and enjoying the great outdoors.

    Dr. Sarah Wilken-Harris grew up in Saint Louis, Missouri. Becoming a veterinarian was a life-long dream, and she has worked in the veterinary industry since she was 16 years old. She went to undergrad and veterinary school at University of Missouri. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a passion for internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. She practiced at a very fast paced hospital in Las Vegas for 4 years prior to moving to Arizona in the spring of 2019 to be closer to family before the birth of her son. Dr. Wilken loves being able to help animals and their owners and strives to provide the best care possible. 

    Dr. Wilken-Harris and her husband have 2 poodle mixes and a beagle. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching the Cardinals and Chiefs, reading, swimming, and enjoying the nice Arizona weather.

  • Sobczynski
    Dr. Helen Sobczynski
    DVM

    Education: University of Minnesota

    Dr. Sobczynski grew up in International Falls, MN – better known as Frostbite Falls! She earned her
    Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and helped fund her
    education by milking the university’s herd of teaching cows. She earned her DVM from the University of
    Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is “treating the
    whole patient – body and mind”; she has a strong interest in behavioral medicine and loves integrating
    this into patient care. Her goal is to have patients who are happy at home – and at the clinic, too!
    When Dr. Sobczynski is not at the clinic, she’s outdoors with her Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers
    (Daisy and Poppy) with her partner Lou camping, hiking, and supporting local breweries.

    Claudissa was born and raised in Arizona. She began working for Higley Road Pet Clinic in 2005 as a veterinary assistant and slowly worked her way to office manager. She graduated from University of Arizona with a bachelors in Veterinary Science in 2010 and went on to get her associates in Veterinary Technology from Penn Foster. Claudissa went on to become a certified technician in 2016. Claudissa can be seen working in all areas of the clinic but enjoys being one of  the surgical technicians the most.

    Outside of work Claudissa spends time with her husband, daughter, two dogs -Ragnar and Godric, and her cat named Sully. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with family.

    Veterinary Technician

    Animal Behavior College 

    Kara is originally from Peoria Illinois and moved to Arizona in April 2018. She has been working in the veterinary field for 9 years. She has graduated with her veterinary assistant degree from Animal Behavior College and is currently working on her veterinary technician degree through Penn Foster.

    Outside of work, Kara enjoys hiking, eating chocolate, watching Netflix, traveling, and being awesome. She has the best Beagle in the world named Javi and a cat named Butters.

    Veterinary Technician

    Amy is a born and raised Arizonan. Amy has always had a passion for animals and has been working in the veterinary field around the valley for the past 18 years. Amy has experience in all parts of the clinic. She attended and graduated from Pima Medical Institute with her veterinary technology degree. 

    In her free time Amy enjoys hiking the Arizona trails and reading. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and son. Amy has two dogs named Auggie and BB, a cat named Zeke, a tortoise named Sweet Pea, and a pig.

    Veterinary Technician

    Alicia is a born and raised Arizonan. She has been working in the veterinary field for about 5 years. Alicia went to EVIT for 2 years and became a certified veterinary assistant. Through her years of experience she has worked her way up and has been trained as a veterinary technician. 

    Alicia loves painting, roller blading, and collecting Squishmallows in her free time. She also spends her free time with her cats- Bizkit, Bugz, Scrimp, Tuna, and Toast, and her dog Bean. She plans to one day own a large space/plot of land for her and her future partners' fur children.

    Veterinary Technician

    Dana was born and raised in California. She moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 2023 and then came to live in the valley in January 2024. Dana has been working in the veterinary field as a technician for about 8 years. She has 4 pets of her own; 2 kitties named Talia and Jodie, and 2 doggies named Ginger and Squeegee. Some of her favorite hobbies include going hiking, going to the gym, and watching horror movies. She also enjoys taking her dogs on walks and hanging out with her boyfriend Tom.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Emily was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in Arizona since she was 4 months old. Emily has been in the veterinary field for 6 months. She is currently enrolled at ASU Polytechnic campus and is in her senior year of pre-vet school. Emily has a furry friend named Paisley, and has two other family pets named Nova and Luna. During her spare time, she loves playing pickleball, and axe throwing with her friends.

  • Tammi
    Technician

    Tammi has been in Arizona her whole life, growing up in Superior and then moving to the valley later on. She has worked in the veterinary field for the past 10 years and graduated from Pima Medical with her veterinary assisting degree in 2012. Tammi has trained into a veterinary technician and can work in all areas of the clinic. 

    Tammi and her husband have been married for 3 years but have been together for much longer. They love spending time with their dog, Panda, and love to go on cruises together. She also enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews.

    Receptionist

    Fern was born in Mesa AZ and has been here ever since. Fern has been working as a receptionist for the past 5 years and originally started in emergency veterinary medicine. 

    Fern loves writing in their free time. They  are self taught in animal preservation which includes taxidermy and wet specimens. They also spend their time with Waylon, a Jack Russel Mix and Mitski, a kitten.
